Dear colleagues, visiting professors,
Ilizarov Center expresses sincere gratitude for your assistance in professional development of employees of the scientific center, training them in new methods and technologies. Your unique practical experience in medicine allowed us to improve quality of medical care and educational services. On the eve of 2016 – Ilizarov Year – the Recognition Board with photos of visiting professors will be created at the Ilizarov Center.
Criteria for “Visiting professor” and also order of determining this status are described in the Regulation.
Guidelines of Visiting Professorship
Introduction
1.1.The Guidelines are intended to specify Vising Professorship status with the Federal Governmental Budgetary Institution “Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics” (hereinafter referred to as Centre) for nationals of the Russian Federation and foreign individuals attending the Centre to perform scientific and clinical activities.
As a token of respect and appreciation to Visiting Professor who contributed to improve the quality of services in the field of education, research and medical technologies his/her photograph is placed at the Centre’s %Recognition Board.
Goals of Visiting Professorship
Visiting Professorship activities are aimed at
2.1. consultations for patients;
2.2. joint operative interventions;
2.3. sharing experience in the field of scientific and clinical activities;
2.4. improve the quality of medical care and education services;
2.5. presentations, lectures and master classes;
2.6. attending conferences and seminars as speakers and lecturers;
2.7. enhancing expertise of the Centre’s employees in the field of clinical work including new techniques and technologies.
3. Selection to the position of a Visiting Professor
The following criteria are used to select a Visiting Professor:
3.1. An eminent practical experience in the field of medicine;
3.2. Absence of employment and civil-law relations with the Centre;
3.3. An individual having recognition among international academic community;
3.4. Consistency to the Centre’s concepts;
3.5. Cooperation with a foreign university developing prospective strategic partnership with the Centre;
3.6. Consistency to the priority-oriented trends of the Centre’s development.
4. Procedure for appointment of a Visiting Professor
4.1. The Centre’s administration will grant the title of Visiting Professor to a citizen of the Russian Federation or a foreign national who comply with the criteria mentioned in Section 3 of the Guidelines.
4.2. An applicant is notified of the decision of Visiting Professor title being conferred to him/her.
4.3. As a token of respect and appreciation to Visiting Professor who contributed to improve the quality of services in the field of education, research and medical technologies his/her photograph is placed at the Centre’s Recognition Board.
4.4. A photograph of Visiting Professor will be placed on The Centre’s recognition Board in compliance with Article 152.1 of Civil Code of the Russian Federation with approval obtained from Visiting professor. The photograph to be placed on the Centre’s recognition Board is provided by Visiting Professor or selected by Centre’s Administration from mass media with his/her approval.
5. Information support
5.1. Information of Visiting Professor is placed at the Centre’s website with his/her full name and agenda.
6. Conclusion
Amendments to be approved by CEO can be made in the Guidelines.
