Editorial board of the journal “Genij Ortopedii” has launched changing of the journal title. A provisional title is “Journal of clinical and experimental orthopaedics named after G.A.Ilizarov”. Looking for a new title we wanted to go back to the roots, initially our Center’s name was Kurgan Research Institute of Experimental and Clinical Trauma and Orthopaedics (KNIIEKOT), and to introduce into the title the name of RISC “RTO” founder academician G.A.Ilizarov, the author of the only domestic orthopedic technique recognized world-wide.
Change of the title encouraged us to modify the journal image. The editorial board, supporting ecological projects, has chosen eco-design for the journal cover. Varying a smart glossy paper of the cover we underline that philosophy of our journal is “It is what's on the inside that matters, not the outside”. So, we strongly hope that papers, published in the journal, will provoke vivid interest of readers and serve to popularization of research and technical works and achievements in orthopedics, traumatology and related spheres.
“Journal of clinical and experimental orthopaedics named after G.A.Ilizarov” will be a true cessionary of the journal “Genij Ortopedii”. It preserves ISSN 1028-4427, will be included in scientific electronic databases, in the list of peer-reviewed scientific journals recommended by the Supreme Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation for publication of scientific PhD papers. As before, the full-text site is available on Ilizarov-journal.com as well as free mobile iPad and Android apps.
Dear friends! We very much appreciate that you’ve been with us for 20 years and hope that you’ll read our journal with interest and publish in it in future.
Sincerely Yours,
Editor-in-Chief,
A.V. Gubin, MD, PhD
